The complex (dippe)Pt(NBE)2 (NBE = norbornene) reacts with thioethers RSR′ upon heating to give C–S oxidative addition products (RSR′ = Ph2S, PhSMe, PhSallyl, MeSallyl, PhSvinyl, PhCH2SMe, PhSCF3, and dithiane).
