A facile, green strategy is explored to obtain mesoporous titanium glycolate (Ti(OCH2CH2O)2) via a one-pot hydrothermal reaction. The mesoporous Ti(OCH2CH2O)2 nanomaterials take on a three-dimensional V-type stripe structure with a specific surface area of 246.5 m2 g−1 and present an excellent adsorption capacity of toxic heavy metal ions in aqueous solution, 225.73 mg g−1 for Pb(II), 131.93 mg g−1 for As(V) and 156.01 mg g−1 for As(III) with fast adsorption rates. The removal mechanism was found to derive from the electrostatic interaction or coordination interaction between Ti(OCH2CH2O)2 and heavy metal ions in aqueous solution since the mesoporous materials display a pH-dependent effect for arsenic removal.

The synthesis and characterization of Mn(II) and Cu(II) complexes with the general formula [Mn(Phen)2(Pfbz)2](Hpfbz) (I) and [Cu2(Bipy)2(Pfbz)4] (II) (Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, Bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, Pfbz = pentafluorobenzoate) are reported. I crystallizes in triclinic crystal system, space group {tiP}1 with a = 9.755(1), b = 11.302(1), c = 20.064(2) Å, α = 95.799(2)°, β = 90.176(2)°, γ = 113.993(2)°, and Z = 2. Complex II crystallizes in triclinic crystal system, space group P1 with a = 9.661(1), b = 9.951(1), c = 12.891(1) Å, α = 102.943(2)°, β = 98.972(2)°, γ = 96.746(2)°, and Z = 1. Of particular interest, intricate C-H…F and F…F interactions in the two crystals play important role in the formation of three dimensional supramolecular networks. F(lp)…π (lp = lone pair) interaction is recognized in the solid-state structure of II.

Abstract
Syntheses and X-ray structural characterizations of two new Cu(II) complexes Cu(tfbz)2(Htfbz)2(phen) (1) (Htfbz=2,4,5-trifluorobenzoic acid, phen=1,10-phenanthroline) and [Cu(pfbz)2(phen)]2(Hpfbz)2 (2) (Hpfbz=pentafluorobenzoic acid) are reported. The first complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with the crystal cell parameters a=1.9903(4) nm, b=1.3688(3) nm, c=1.3623(3) nm, β=97.90(3)°, V=3.6762(13) nm3 and Z=4. The second complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1 with the crystal cell parameters a=1.7965(4) Å, b=1.9236(2) Å, c=2.0916(2) Å, α=110.156(2) °, β=105.040(3) °, γ=98.123(3) °, V=6.3372(17) nm3 and Z=4. The crystallographic analyses revealed that F···H–C hydrogen bonds in both complexes lead to formation of infinite three-dimensional supramolecular networks. A large number of F···F interactions in complex 2 ensure the stability of intricate crystal structure.

Abstract
A novel coordination polymer [Mn(bdpbp)2(NO3)2]n (1), where bdpbp=4,4′-bis(dimethoxyphosphoryl- methyl)biphenyl, was prepared under mild condition. The structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and further characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, luminescent property and thermogravimetric analyses. Structure of 1 exhibits infinite grid frameworks and forms two fold interpenetrating nets. Weak C–H···O hydrogen bonds ensure the formation and stability of a three dimensional supramolecular network.

Two dimensional coordination polymer [CdL2(NO3)2]n (where L = 4,4′-bis(dimethylphosphonomethyl)biphenyl) has been achieved. The crystal structure and molecular composition are measured using elemental analysis and X-ray crystal structure. Two-dimensional square grid was formed by semi-rigid phosphonate ligands bridge metals, in which the metals adopt rare eight-coordinated geometry. Weak C–H⋯O hydrogen bonds which between coordinated nitrate anion and methyl group of phosphonate ligands link two dimensional grids generating three dimensional supramolecular networks without interpenetration.A two dimensional cadmium complex has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, UV–Vis spectroscopy, luminescent spectroscopy and TG. The metal ion is in a coordination environment of distorted dodecahedron. Neutral phosphonate esters bridge metal ions to form infinite square grid framework. C–H⋯O interactions further link these grid into three dimensional supramolecular structure.

[Zn(Phen)2(Pfbz)(H2O)](Pfbz)(H2O)2 (I) and 2[Cd(Phen)2(Pfbz)(ONO2)][Cd(Phen)2(ONO2)2] (II) (Phen-1,10-phtnanthroline) containing the fluorine type ligand, pentafluorobenzoate (Pfbz) have been synthesized. Elemental analysis, IR spectra, and X-ray crystal structure analysis were carried out to determine the compositions and crystal structures of the two compounds. The crystal packing exhibits intricate intermolecular π-π stacking interactions and various hydrogen bonds. The C-H···F-C interactions and weak F···F interactions play important roles in the formation of the supramolecular network. Emission properties of I and II are also investigated.
